Bowie Knives are large, clip tipped knives often used for fighting as well as for hunting. The Bowies popularity is due in part to its size, as well as its suprisingly good balance, making it good for throwing. Since the first incarnation was created by James Black, the Bowie knife has come to incorporate several recognizable and characteristic design features, although its common use refers to any large sheath knife with a crossguard and a clip point. The Bowie is a favorite in the wasteland, used by raiders and scavers alike.
